Industry Focus at Glasgow Film Festival 2019
Wednesday 27 February — Friday 1 March
Registration now open: glasgowfilm.org/industry
GFF Industry Focus returns for a fourth edition from Wed 27 Feb – Fri 1 March 2019.
Back by popular demand we will see the return of Market Place Live, a unique and interactive event that shows how to take a feature film project from idea to a successful release. A panel of industry professionals will take a film from concept to exhibition in under 90 minutes – with a few surprises along the way.
We are also excited to welcome back the popular podcast, Film Disruptors, hosted by Alex Stolz. Alex will be recording a special GFF edition that will focus on finding the right audience for your film through innovative distribution strategies.
Our full programme will have sessions for all levels of filmmaking professionals from careers advice at entry level, to professional development opportunities. We will be packing the programme with special guests and will have plenty of drop-in sessions and 121 surgeries with leading industry professionals. Other confirmed events include an opportunity for filmmakers to pitch to Channel 4, and a panel event looking at the changing attitudes to horror cinema.
Each day concludes with our GFF Industry Happy Hour hosted by our various sponsors — join GFF press, filmmakers, industry guests, and the festival team for a drink and a chance to mingle and network with new connections and friends alike.
Industry Passes will also give holders entry to daily Press & Industry screenings at the brand new Everyman cinema in Princes Square.
The full Industry Focus programme will be announced in January 2019.
